The BS in Elementary Education at Penn State trains educators to build inclusive, engaging, and effective classrooms for students in grades K–6. With a curriculum grounded in pedagogy, child development, curriculum design, and educational psychology, students develop teaching strategies for literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Emphasis is placed on fieldwork, educational technology, and culturally responsive teaching. Graduates are certified to teach in public or private schools and equipped to make a lasting impact on early learners.
