UIUC’s Latina/Latino Studies BA centers the histories, cultural production, and sociopolitical realities of Latinx communities in the United States. Courses analyze migration, urbanization, labor, education, health, and expressive arts, while community-based research with Urbana-Champaign organizations grounds theory in practice. Through policy-oriented internships and creative projects, students cultivate leadership skills for careers in social services, public policy, media, and grassroots organizing.
