The BA in Global Studies at UVA provides students with an interdisciplinary education that prepares them to understand and address complex global issues. With concentrations in Global Public Health, Security and Justice, Environments and Sustainability, and Global Development, students tailor their studies to their interests. Courses span politics, sociology, environmental science, and language, supported by experiential learning, research, and study abroad. The program fosters critical thinking, intercultural competence, and practical problem-solving skills ideal for careers in global policy, health, humanitarian work, or graduate study.
