UMD’s BA in Women’s Studies explores feminist theory, intersectionality, and social change through an interdisciplinary lens. Students examine how gender, race, class, sexuality, and disability intersect in shaping individual experiences and social systems. The program fosters critical thinking, community engagement, and activism through courses in feminist philosophy, queer studies, reproductive justice, and global movements.
