The BA in Dance at Ohio State University nurtures creative expression, technical skill, and scholarly inquiry into the art of movement. Students train in contemporary, ballet, and improvisational techniques while studying dance history, choreography, anatomy, and production. The program encourages interdisciplinary collaborations, experimental performance, and cultural analysis, positioning dance as a form of both artistic practice and critical research. Through performances, studio work, and academic coursework, students prepare for careers in performance, choreography, education, arts management, and dance therapy.
