The BS in Geology at UF prepares students to investigate Earth’s dynamic systems through fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and theoretical modeling. The curriculum includes mineralogy, petrology, structural geology, geophysics, and sedimentology. Students work on geological mapping, seismic studies, and environmental impact assessments—equipping them for careers in energy, natural resource management, environmental consulting, and graduate research.
